Shakespeare may have penned, "all that glitters is not gold", but the Bard never laid eyes on the Trump Hotel Las Vegas. The completed 64-story tower will be the tallest of traditional high rises in Las Vegas. It seems when you look at some of the top people who have shaped the Nevada of today, the name Donald J. Trump will need to be added to the ever-growing list.
What makes Trump Hotel Las Vegas an even more striking addition to the Vegas skyline is that the building has gold glass windows, with white accents. It joins the many remarkable building that have the name Trump associated with it. To name a few, these include: New York City's Trump Tower, Trump Taj Mahal, a casino resort in Atlantic City and Palm Beach's Mar-a-Lago Estate. The Trump Hotel Las Vegas is a joint venture, as Phil Ruffin, another busy hotel owner joins Donald Trump, with the first building Trump will have his signature on in Las Vegas.
If you are wondering what a building looks like all dressed up in 24K gold glass, the Royal Bank Plaza South in Toronto has a similar gold covering. When it comes to condo hotels in Las Vegas, Trump has set his standards high on this one. There are 1282 units in all- all decorated as only luxury condominiums can be.
Nestled and glistening beside the Wynne resort, this tower has been compared to New York's 5th Ave. Picture coming home from some of the best shopping in the world at the Fashion Show Mall, with the white-gloved concierge bringing all your shopping bags up to your suite. Of all the condo hotels in Las Vegas this will be the first and possibly only to feature televisions that are built right in the bathroom mirror. (Does Jay Leno know about this?)
VIPs in the know: Las Vegas is home to the world's largest gold nuggets. You can take a look at the "Hand of Faith", which weighs in at a whopping 61 pounds, 11 ounces, at (where else?), the Golden Nugget.
